Well, the pain worsened, called the doc's office and was able to get in to see the PA. The happy point of the whole visit was the weigh in. It's been a year since I was at the doctor and when the MA took my stats, she commented that I'd lost quite a bit of weight since my last visit. 22lbs! And that's really been all since starting 1/28/08. Imagine what I could have done had I been serious about this for the last year...but we won't dwell on that. :o) Now to the not so nice part...the PA was able to remove the really (at this point) infected cyst. She didn't close it as, because of the infection, wants to let it heal from the inside out. While my arm is less painful due to less pressure, it is definitely still sore. I'm just taking it easy. I did have a slight fever so think that the infection was starting to affect me more than just pain. And the bummer is that it was so infected, she said it basically disinegrated and she was only able to get half of the cyst wall. So it may come back...I'm praying it doesn't! I was so much in shock (I wasn't mentally prepared for its removal LOL) that I was pretty much an emotional wreck by the time I got home (HHT would say it's because it's close to TOM...and he'd be right LOL). My mood improved by the end of the evening. I did eat some Baja Fresh taquitos(2) and a taco. At that point, I really didn't care. I've noticed the trend lately since I've been indulging a little each day is a continued weight loss. So, I may need to count calories and carbs...I may not be getting enough calories. And I learned it's important to research the food you eat first as I would probably have chosen differently knowing how many carbs were in the taquitos!
